International Legal History Meeting of PhD Students
May 4, 2024
The Department of the History of the State and Law at the University of Brno (Czech Republic) will be hosting a conference for PhD students specialising in legal history and Roman law. The event aims to create a supportive community of early-career researchers, providing a platform to share their academic experiences and present their doctoral research findings.
Time: September 11 - 12, 2024
The organisers welcome contributions that explore various aspects of state and legal development or delve into aspects of Roman law across Europe. Alongside academic discussions, they will offer a curated program of accompanying events.
The conference sessions will be organised around the submissions' themes to provide all participants with a tailored and engaging experience. The organisers encourage contributions in English and welcome diverse perspectives.
Selected papers will be published in English in a peer-reviewed conference proceeding, offering participants an opportunity for international academic exposure.
Interested PhD candidates are invited to submit their applications by June 15 via the Masaryk University Faculty of Law Registration System. While the organisers welcome a broad range of applicants, please note that attendance may be limited based on venue capacity and selection criteria to ensure a conducive conference environment.
