Call for Articles: Rechtskultur 2025/26
Oct. 22, 2025
The topic of the 2025/26 Edition of the European Journal for Legal History "Rechtskultur" will be "Shifts in methodological approaches to law"
Deadline for Contributions: 31. August 2026
The editors are pleased to announce a call for papers for an upcoming volume that
seeks to investigate the dynamic shifts in methodological approaches to
law. This volume aims to critically analyze how contemporary legal
scholarship is evolving, highlighting the interplay between traditional
legal doctrines and innovative methodologies. They invite contributions
that explore various dimensions of legal research, including empirical
methods, socio-legal perspectives, and interdisciplinary frameworks, as
well as the analysis of emerging domains of legal regulation. Papers
should engage with the implications of these methodological shifts for
both theoretical discourse and practical applications in law. They encourage authors to provide fresh insights that challenge established
paradigms and foster a deeper understanding of legal phenomena.
The editors welcome contributions from all relevant fields of science
with a maximum length of 200,000 characters. Contributions should be
submitted by using rechtskultur@ur.de within 31. August 2026. All
contributions will be peer-reviewed, and admittance for publications
rests on the merits of the contribution alone.
Further information on the guidelines can be found here.
